myworld: What are you up to today?

NC: Today I am at Hg2 HQ busily editing, writing and Tweeting. It’s what I do best. We’ve got so many projects on the go at the moment – including a new Website, new iPhone apps and God knows how many new guides – that there’s never a dull moment.

myworld: Anything super hip you’re working on that you wouldn’t mind sharing with myworld?

NC: Hg2 only works on hip things! At the moment we’re hugely excited about the launch of Hg2 Art tomorrow – which is a coffee table-style book containing 90+ essays from artists, curators, collectors and critics. We’re also anticipating the launch of our third edition to London, which contains pretty much every place that matters in London. Fleur Britten, its author and writer at Sunday Times Style, is one of London’s ultimate insiders, and really gets the scoop on what’s hip and happening in our beloved capital. Other than that, the all-new Hg2.com and iPhone apps are priorities.

myworld: If you were designing a hotel bedroom what would be amongst your top 3 prerequisites?

NC: I would say crisp, white, fine thread-count sheets; an iPod docking station; and high-end, stealable toiletries.

myworld: Our design philosophy takes into account the 5 senses – of all of them, which is your favourite and why?

NC: Definitely touch. A bed can be great to look at, but if it feels like lying on a bed of nails when you get in then there’s not much point.
